ThereÂs nothing more fascinating then the Âbhais and Bollywood. Sundar Shekhar Mirza, the son of the MumbaiÂs ganglord Haji Mastan has sent a legal notice to the Balaji Telefilms and Milan Luthria for making a biopic on his father, ÂOnce Upon A Time In Mumbai.Â
This is not the first time that the underworld has sent notice to filmmakers for making biopic on them. When Mahesh Bhatt made the biopic on Abu Salem, ÂGangsterÂ, Abu had also sent a legal notice to the filmmaker for making the film without his consent.
A close hand reveals that MirzaÂs notice challenges the production companyÂs rights to make a film on is father without the late gangsterÂs familyÂs consent.
According to sources Haji Mastan was very much involved with Bollywood as his money was involved in films produced during his regime. Legally, he was the producer and distributor in ÂMere Garib NawazÂ.
